Intensive treatment may increase adverse events in older adults with elevated blood pressure
Intensive blood pressure treatment in the first 48 hours of hospitalization for a noncardiovascular diagnosis was associated with greater risk of a composite outcome that included cardiac injury, acute kidney injury, and transfer to the ICU.

Withholding antihypertensives around surgery didn't affect vascular complication rate
Patients who didn't take their hypertension medications before and for two days after surgery had a lower incidence of intraoperative hypotension, but no difference in hypotension after surgery compared to those who continued medications.

Antibiotic regimens differ in associated risk of AKI in critically ill patients
Vancomycin and piperacillin/tazobactam were associated with a higher risk of acute kidney injury (AKI) than either vancomycin and cefepime or vancomycin and meropenem in ICU patients, particularly at longer durations and in those with normal kidney function on admission.
