Inappropriate CAP diagnosis common in hospitalized adults
A prospective cohort study of 48 hospitals in Michigan found that 12% of patients hospitalized with community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) appeared to have been diagnosed incorrectly and that of these, 87.6% received a full course of antibiotics.

Behavioral symptoms associated with poor outcomes in hospitalized patients with dementia
A cross-sectional retrospective study of elderly U.S. inpatients found that behavioral symptoms of dementia were associated with higher in-hospital mortality, longer length of stay, higher rates of 30-day readmission, and lower likelihood of discharge to home.
