Liberal transfusion strategies may be preferred in CVD patients
Restrictive transfusion thresholds, usually defined as a hemoglobin level of 7.0 to 8.0 g/dL, were associated with higher acute coronary syndrome rates than liberal thresholds, typically defined as a hemoglobin level of 9.0 to 10.0 g/dL.
