June issue online and in the mail

This month's issue of ACP Hospitalist covers news from Hospital Medicine 2018, including articles about physician burnout, opioids, COPD, pressure ulcers, and technological advances.

The latest issue of ACP Hospitalist is now available. It offers coverage of Hospital Medicine 2018, beginning with a main story about clinician burnout, and what individual physicians, hospitalist groups, and larger entities can do to fight it. Other articles from the conference describe how to stage, treat, and document pressure ulcers; how to treat pain in inpatients with opioid use disorder, on chronic opioid therapy, or on opioid-agonist therapy; and how health care technology will change hospitalist practice in the near future. This month's Test Yourself covers both pain and pressure ulcers, while the Success Story offers an alternative to traditional pre-procedural NPO orders.
