No significant difference in outcomes with liberal, restrictive transfusion in acute MI
In a randomized trial of patients with acute myocardial infarction (MI) and anemia, a hemoglobin cutoff below 10 g/dL for transfusion was associated with an insignificant reduction in risk of MI or death at 30 days versus a cutoff of 7 or 8 g/dL.
